I am left handed, can I still learn the piano?

Absolutely, I have taught many left-handed students over the years on the piano and I would be more than happy to teach you as well.

I used to play piano when I was younger but haven't played for many years - can I still come for piano lessons?

Yes, I have many pupils that I teach who have played in their younger years and are looking to revist playing the piano after a break. You will be surprised how quickly your knowledge can be unlocked again!

Where do the lessons take place?

I teach all my piano lessons from my home teaching space located on Waveney Road, Hull, HU8 9ES. It is a great place to learn to play the piano, with all the resources we need during our lessons. Click on the map below to bring up my rough teaching location on Google Maps.

I can't read music - can I still learn?

Certainly, no previous music knowledge required. I will teach all that you need to know in our piano lessons to enable you to master the instrument.

Do you teach children?

Yes, I am more than happy to teach your children to play the piano. Get in touch for more information.

What songs will we play?

That is entirely down to you, the student. I cover a wide range of different styles of music and create individually tailored lessons to suit the musical styles of each of my students.

I strive to help my students learn the way they want, whether that be individual songs you would like to know how to play or by exploring a genre of music through a course of individually tailored piano lessons.

I have a holistic approach to teaching the piano, helping my students gain a well rounded understanding of the instrument and how to play it, including being able to read music and gain an understanding of music theory. With the majority of my students learning for their own enjoyment I always make sure my lessons are fun!
